Ireland Itinerary

I've finally put together our slightly-more-than-tentative itinerary (at least city-wise):

September 4

     10:55am - Flight leaves Minneapolis, MN

September 5

     08:20am - arrive in Dublin, Ireland

                      take taxi to hotel in downtown Dublin to Drury Court Hotel

                      drop off luggage at hotel, then explore the town

                     Activities to include: Dublin Castle, Trinity College, O'Connell Street and General Post Office, St. Patrick's

                          Cathedral, National Museums, Temple Bar, National Gallery, Kilmainham Gaol, Phoenix Park, Guiness

                               Storehouse

                      check into hotel and call it an early night

September 6

                     Activities to include: Whatever we missed the previous day

     02:00pm - Bus tour to northern cities

September 7

     09:00am - check out of Drury Court Hotel and take taxi to the airport

     10:00am - pick up rental car from airport and head towards Kilkenny via Wicklow

                      Activities to include: Wicklow National Park, Glendalough, Altamount Gardens, Avondale House,

                           Russborough House, Mount Usher Gardens, Bray Head, Powerscourt Estate, Dalkey Castle

                           and Heritage Center, Dalkey Island

     05:00pm - check into Launard House in Kilkenny

September 8

     09:00am - check out of Launard House and head towards Kinsale via Cork

                      Activities to include: Kilkenny Castle, Rock of Cashel,

                          Cahir Castle (in film Excalibur), Blarney Castle, (Blarney Stone?)

     06:00pm - check into Danabel Bed and Breakfast

September 9

     09:00am - check out of Danabel Bed and Breakfast and head towards Killarney

                      Activities to include: Bandon, Clonakilty, Skibereen, Bantry (Whiddy Island),

                           Kenmare (not any big attractions, just exploring the little towns)

     05:00pm - check into Crystal Springs Bed and Breakfast slightly south of Killarney

September 10

     09:00am - Check out of Crystal Springs B&B and head to Castleisland via Ring of Kerry

     07:00pm - Stop in Killorglin for supper

     09:00pm - Check into Tailors House in Castleisland

September 11

     09:00am - Check out of Crystal Springs B&B and head to Bunratty

                      Activities for the day include exploring Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, and Knappogue Castle

     06:30pm - Medieval Castle Banquet at Knappogue Castle

     09:00pm - Check into Bunratty Heights for the evening

September 12

     09:00am - Check out of Bunratty Heights and head to Galway

                      Activities for the day include The Burren National Park , Kilfenora Cathedral, The Boghill

                              Centre, Cliffs of Moher, and Dunguaire Castle

     05:00pm - Check into Clayton Hotel in Galway

                      Explore Galway downtown and find supper

September 13

                      Explore Galway

September 14

     09:00am - Check out of Clayton Hotel in Galway and head to Dublin

September 15

     07:30am - Check out of Bewley's Hotel Dublin Airport and head to airport

                      Return rental car

     09:50am - Flight leaves Dublin, Ireland

     03:45pm - Flight arrives in Minneapolis, MN
