Ireland makes my heart skip a beat. It is one of those places I've always wanted to visit, and my wish came true in September of 2010. We had a 14 day adventure there in which we covered the southern half of the island. It was truly breathtaking in the country, while the ancient castles (both those refurbished and those still in ruins) were something we will always look back on fondly. Incredible trip! We can't wait to one day return with our grown children and show them the places we named them after :)
We stayed in Dublin, Kilkenny, Kinsale, Killarney, Castleisland, Galway and again in Dublin while we were on our trip, and we wouldn't have traded the experiences at any of them. Some of our absolutely most memorable parts of this trip were exploring the grandeur of Dublin and Kilkenny castles, the castle ruins at the Rock of Cashel, kissing the Blarney stone, a 3 hour walk in the rain to the Gap of Dunloe, the incredible sights along the Ring of Kerry, and taking in an incredible meal and entertainment at Knappogue Castle. There are way too many memories to pack into one little paragraph, so I'll let the recaps speak for themselves :)
